Introduction

Inyeon ("we," "us," or "our") is a privacy-first relationship app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.

We built Inyeon with a simple belief: the people in your life are your business, not ours. That principle shapes every technical decision we make.

Data We Access

Contacts

With your permission, Inyeon accesses your device's contact list to help you build your relationship list. Contact data is stored locally on your device and synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. It is never sent to our servers.

Photos

When you choose to attach photos to your relationship timelines, Inyeon accesses your Photo Library. Selected photos are stored on-device and synced via iCloud. They are never uploaded to any third-party server.

Interaction Logs

Inyeon can detect when you finish a phone call (via Apple's CallKit framework) and prompt you to log it. Manually logged interactions including meetups, messages, and video calls are also stored. All interaction data remains on your device and in your iCloud account.

Life Events & Notes

Any life events, notes, or other content you create within Inyeon is stored exclusively on your device and your personal iCloud account.

Notifications

Inyeon uses local notifications to send gentle reminders about staying in touch. These are managed entirely on your device and do not involve any external server.

Data Storage & Sync

All personal data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit.

Inyeon does not operate backend servers for user data. We cannot access, read, or recover your personal data. Your data is encrypted by Apple both in transit and at rest.

Data We Collect (Website Only)

• Anonymous analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand website traffic. This collects no personal information and uses no cookies.

Third-Party Services

• Apple CloudKit — Syncs your data to your personal iCloud account. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple CallKit — Detects when phone calls end. No call content, audio, or metadata is accessed.
• Vercel — Hosts our website and provides anonymous analytics.

Permissions

Inyeon requests the following device permissions:

• Contacts: To import your relationships into Inyeon.
• Photo Library: To attach photos to your relationship timelines and memories.
• Notifications:To send gentle reminders when it's time to reach out to someone you care about.

Each permission is requested only when needed and can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings.

Data Retention & Deletion

• App data:Deleted when you delete the Inyeon app from your device. To also remove iCloud data, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Inyeon > Delete Data.

Children's Privacy

Inyeon is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Inyeon after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
